Hi Mike -
While at the Woodwind & Brasswind, I had the pleasure of distributing these reeds. They are made from Marca cane to Pete's spec and are quite consistent reed to reed. The vamp of the design is longer than the usual French cut and the tips run thin. I found they respond well on an open faced mouthpiece and produce a very aggresive sound. I wouldn't recommend them for a legit job but if you are a jazz / klezmer or studio guy, you should give them a try.

I was almost 100% sure that they could also be made out of Marca cane when I tried them along with Marca Superiure,Traditional,Excel and FG . I was shocked how cheap they were until I tried them. One thing I could notice when going through these reeds was that they were quite consistent but the cane quality was really really bad. In the same box the cane was from being ,golden color to being with green tone(unmature) and simply brown. I've tried over 20 different brands of reeds and this has to be the least quality cane I've come across.
