I have a birthday next month and like every year, I will buy myself a present that I really want and no one else in the family can afford. This year I am thinking about upgrading to a better clarinet. I have model RCP-575a from Ridenour in mind. I would like to hear from others who have played this Clarinet in A and how it compares to other makers of Clarinets in A.
Thanks all.

Senior, if you use the Search function on this page, there are several threads from folks who own the Lyrique, including those in the key of A.

Senior,
I have a Lyrique in A. I'm quite happy with it. I also have a Bb Lyrique. The Bb is a very nice horn, but I like the A even more. I have owned and played an R13, an R13 Prestige, and a Yamaha A in the past. In my opinion, the Lyrique is the best A I've ever played. It's not stuffy, it's well in tune, and it responds well, with a nice, dark tone. I recommend it. I also played a Selmer Recital A that was a very, very nice instrument. Try before you buy - there's lots of good A's out there. Good luck!
