 Pan American - Information?
Author: Bill Stephens

I just purchased a Pan American Clarinet seriel #687360. I purchased this over the internet so I have not yet received the instrument. I know that Pan American Band Instruments was a Conn subsidiary and I was wondering if anyone could tell me anything about this clarinet such as model, when it was made, and its original retail cost. Any information would be appreciated. I know its not particularly valuable because I purchased it for $63.00 on ebay and you don't usually get a particularly great deal at an internet auction.(Too many people know the value.)

Thanks

Bill Stephens

Once upon a time, Pan American was an independent maker. I have read that when Conn bought them, they used the name for their least expensive student horns.
