Unusual Inscriptions On Selmer CT...

I've got a scrap CT top joint (I think it's a Q-series, but the serial number has been oblitterated) which I'm going to cannibalise for parts, and on the back between the thumb ring and Eb/Bb tonehles there's something I've never seen. It's engraved like the logo, but it reads:

Bb
Clarinet
B.S.

There are some mounter/finisher's markings (a small * above LH1 chimney, though this is a replacement top joint and the * can also just about be seen where the serial number once was, and also a W under between the LH1 pillars), but it's the inscription on the back that I've never seen which I'm curious about.

This CT is also in silver plate judging by the pillars and fittings (no keys on this joint), so that's not the norm. Maybe it was silver plated as a special order as it's from the Royal Marines band, and probably part of the same huge order from Selmer in the '50s (along with the numerous silver MkVI saxes).
