Hi. Has anyone had any experience with the DiLutis cases? Are they worth the price? Any other recommendations for a good reed case? Thanks.

The DiLutis case is well made, well designed, works very well and does everything it is supposed to do. It is probably the best out there. Only you can determine if it is worth the price.

I think they are great and are reasonably priced.

I bought it like two years ago, I didn't have a great expierence with it. For some reason my reeds warped which made no sense to me because the case was perfect and made perfect sense.
I just went back to my vandoren 8 reed case in a baggy. But I think I'll retry the delutis case just to see.

Just reviving this thread, as I may be in the market for a new reed case. I like the reed vitalizer and it's cheap.
However, once you factor in the hygrometer in the case and the fact that you don't have to pay for the salt packets, cost may be amortized in the long run.
I have two questions for the owners:
1-Can you calibrate the Hygrometer
2-How does the humidfier works? Is it easy to keep the humidity stable?
Thanks!

I use the case when "ready to go" somewhere to play
For this purpose it works well
I do not store my reeds in it for everyday use.
Analog hygrometers can be calibrate by exposing them to 100% humidity periodically....but I do not use the one in this case to measure where I keep my reeds when not traveling.
The humidifier in this brand is a gel that reactivates when wet....extras are available from cigar stores.
Note, it has been two years since the orginal post.
