I found Jerry Hall mouthpieces JC-1 to JC-7 are available at International Music Suppliers. I am interested in these since it has angled wall design(I had never experineced this type of mp) and is reasonably priced.
Does anyone use this? What impression? I use V12 3.5 for Greg Smith Kasper Style. What number of JC is suitable?
Thank you in advance for your kind info.

Hiroshi, I can't answer your questions, not having a Hall-Zinner mouthpiece [but plan to get one], but thot you might like to study their US patent 5,105,701 of 1992. Salazar has a patent, which makes reference to H-Z as prior art, US 5,303,628, possibly also of interest. H-Z does show some dimensions and reviews history, and Lee Gibson in "Clarinet Acoustics" Chap. 15 discusses mp's, so read up!! Please let us know your conclusions. Don

When I play tested my Smith Ched.-style mpcs., one of them was a nice angled-wall mpc. I wish I had chosen that one (I wish I had bought all three). I owned a Jerry Hall mpc. that I sold for about $20.00. I hated it.

I bought a Hall JC-2 for my daughter last year. At the time it seemed to work for her. It played easily but the tone was lacking. After six months on it she decided to try my Vandoren B-40 and Smith Ched.-style. She now plays the B-40.
Personally, I wasn't impressed with the Hall mouthpiece, but we had a very small sample to choose from.
The patent information sounds very interesting!
