Hi,
I am having a Bundy Model 577 clarinet shipped to me and I was wondering if someone could tell me what it's real value might be. I only had to pay $22.50 plus shipping but I know it is worth more than that. All of the pads and corks look to be in good shape and it is complete with a nice looking brown padded hard shell case, (I suspect not the original).
Thanks for any info that I can get on this as I need to determine how much to have the person insure it for in shipping.

Gary, I'd suggest you look on the auction site to see what similar clarinets are selling for. Not a lot, I'm afraid. Don

Insure it for the value you're paying plus the shipping fee, max twice that value. I've heard stories about insurers paying "market value" for lost items, and not what was paid for, mumbling something about "fraudulent attempts".
(This was not USPS and I don't say this will inevitably happen, but one usually wants to come out with "nothing gained, nothing lost" if sh** happens)

Don,
What would "not a lot be"?. I got it on an Ebay auction for 15.50 plus 15 shipping so less than 31 dollars. It has decent corks and pads on it and I can do a pad job if necessary cause they are not but about 10-15 if needed. would that still make it in the Not a Lot category?
I played an old Mazzeo model in Jr and Sr high myself and it was OK, but I really did prefer my Mk VI Tenor sax much better.

Hi Gary - I guess I didn't realize you got such a bargain "there". Here in mid-US a Bundy plastic in good condition will bring $100-150 at the times parents are buying/renting? for beginners. Yes, I also treasure my M6 alto, as our son does ?our? M6 tenor. I also like 1950-90 Selmer and Leblanc Bb sop cls. Regards, Don
Thanx, Mark, Don
