Legere Reeds & Rovner Mpc. Magic

In pursuit of trying to deal with the sofening after 1 or 2 hr.phenomenon common with Legeres, I used a product called "Rovner Mouthpiece Magic, applying it to the Mpc.as directed, but also applying it to the underside of the Legere reed, a No.3 Bass Clr. It takes about 3 to 5 coats of the product, rubbing each into the reed gently until the haze of the coating in gone. It seems to make the Legere respond initially as it usually does after it has been played for an hour or two. In other words, the softening phenomenon takes place up-front and does not progress. This stuff is available from the W&B for about $8.75 a can.
