Does anyone know if there is a place (online or other) to take a glance at a clarinet part of an orchestral piece in order to assess its difficulty level?
More specifically, I mean the 3rd book of Orff's Carmina Burana, which is Clar3/bass/Eb and the second book in Janacek's Sinfonietta, which has the Eb part in it.
Can anyone who's played these parts tell me if the Eb part is very exposed or important (enough so that another person, whose strenghth is Eb, needs to be hired to play just the Eb part?)
Sorry if this is a little confusing, but I would appreciate any feedback. Thank you.

HI: If your players own all three instruments required in the Orff, I don't believe the E-flat clarinet part would be all that difficult (nor interesting, if I may indulge my distaste for Carmina Burana, please). Re the Janacek, that may be a different situation as the E-flat is more exposed.
Hope this helps. ET
