I have come across a Buffet model C-13. This one has markings like an R13 or E13 in that it has Made In France below the emblems. I thought C13's were made in Germany (at least the Internationals I thought were). This is not an International - it just says C 13.
Has anyone seen these? Are they comprable to the E-13 made in France or what?
Thanks

C13? I've heard of the C12, but not the C13.
The C12, however, is made in France and is the next model up from the E13 and the one immediately below the R13, and only available in Bb.
I think 'E' stands for either 'Etude' or 'Ecole' and 'C' stands for 'Conservatoire'.
The Schreiber-built Buffets are the B10, B12 and E11.

I have heard of the C13, but I thought that was the same as the International. This one is not and International, and is a France model. I was just curious if there was some limited priduction or something. Who knows....

As with all Buffets that say 'Made in France', they're indeed made in France.
The ones that don't, aren't.

Texican, these come up from time to time on the auction place. The serial numbers, when run through the Buffet database, show the model as "R 13 Am鲩que" and they date to the 70's. A Google search for that model yields nothing helpful.
There have been a couple of threads here about them, but it seems that no one has responded that knows for sure what they are. I could venture a couple of guesses, but I wouldn't want to mislead anyone. Your best bet is to contact Buffet.
