Make sure to give it that Eastern European/ Russian lilt....think Prokovieff's Hebrew themes (or Tevya singing 'if I were a rich man') while playing it, and you are on the right track.

Superficially it looks more difficult than what it really is. The notes fall into place after a while, and the cadenza is logical.
It also sounds good at a slower speed as well as fast, so you can have fun practising it slowly, and then build up.
