Speaking of orchestras and their websites - the NY Philharmonic has a nice website that includes bios of all their players. The bass clarinetist (I forget his name) is particularly interesting - he provides a lot of information about his instruments, mouthpiece, reeds - even ligature.
By the way, the NY Phil. is advertising for "second clarinet" position auditions (the add is in the Local 802 newspaper). I think the application deadline is September 15.
