may I ask what is that referring to? The title Clarinet Bulletin Board is off center and it trailed by the afore mentioned phrase... what's the secret for?

Haha, I'm assuming that's just a subtle way of saying "You IDIOTS!! Learn to spell or I'll have to whack all of you upside the head with my clarinet!" This is just my assumption because everytime i've seen that word on here, it's been misspelled (I'm sure that Mr. C is gettin' annoyed by that). :P
*Note- This post is not meant to offend anyone who has previously misspelled "embouchure." I just thought I'd add a little humor to the board.

<br>Actually, it was a suggestion a while back to put it on the page - it's probably the most commonly misspelled word on the BBoard. I'm not "annoyed" by the misspellings - sometimes they're quite humorous, but I know the writers didn't intend for it to become so funny!

If it's any comfort to everybody, "embouchure" was one of the words used at the National Spelling Bee held recently.
I believe the contestant got it right. All ov us goot spelers no it.

I didn't even notice the helpful hint until all of you fine folks brought it to my attention. Guess I'll have to cut and paste it into my postings to get it right the next time.
Mark C.: Ever thought about being a tutor? This is the same kind of gentle hint my tutor would give me if I missed a note in an otherwise satisfactory performance.
Perhaps another fine hint may be in order. Would it be too much to ask for a glossary of terms on another location on this BBS? I have a hard time with proper spelling of most of the musical terms and symbols (p, pp, ppp, sfz, dim., and a bunch of others for music; chalemeau, clarion, altissimo, the infamous "e" word, and a bunch of others specifically for the clarinet). Anyone game enough to take on a project like this?

So, Mark, you're too good to help out fellow musicians by posting a Glossary in your "Study" section? I think its a great idea! How many beginners are out there who don't know the musical terms? After all-this is a musical website, isn't it? (Or is it for the X-Files?)
