 Texas Music Festival Audition Material
Author: Caco185

I am auditioning for the Texas Music Festival in Cleveland on January 28th. Part of the solo work audition is the exposition of the first movement of the Mozart Concerto. I have the exposition as being m. 57-154. Is this correct?

My contrasting solo is going to be the Osborne Rhapsody. Should this work? I feel it's extremely contrasting and really shows technique as well as musicality particularly well.

I also have a question with an excerpt. Most of which are in my copy of the Hadcock " Working Clarinetist". Here is the list. Does anyone have any tips on any of these? Know of any errors with these excerpt's in the Hadcock.

Stravinsky Firebird Suite (1919)
Variation de l’oiseau de feu – complete

Rimsky-Korsakov Capriccio espagnol
Beginning – measure 67

Beethoven Symphony No. 6
Movement I, measures 418-438 and 476-482
Movement II, measures 68 - 77

Mendelssohn Midsummer Night’s Dream
Scherzo, beginning – measure 48

Thanks a ton!
