So Don, if I were to follow your advice, what is the max I should spend on fixing it up?

Good Gosh, you want an estimate from a hacker who can't even see it??? The 577 is prob. somewhat better than the reg. Bundy, [more "classic"??] but I wouldn't put much more than $100 into it , figuring its selling wouldn't bring more than $150-200, UNLESS it plays well and it and its case are very "clean"!! It is a bit like stocks, buy low and TRY to sell higher. Rots of Ruck, Don

LOL!
Well, every pad on this puppy is missing or nasty and the corks are trashed. Springs and keys look good & there's nary a chip or crack, except for the barrel. And there's no case.
Maybe I'll see if the University of Md. might fix it up in their instrument repair class. Haven't a clue where to start finding info on that, but it might be worth a shot.

I had a reply, almost, when AOHELL cut me off AGAIN!!! to the effect to give the "puppy" away to a "friendly" repair-person to restore the "sow's ear". Luck, Don
