 Big Sound-Control Pitch

I just had a recent audition. My judge loved my sound. He did mention to me though that my sound was a bit uncontrolled. He's written this on my sheet two years in a row so far. I assume that since I get nervous, my lips start to shake causing what I refer to jokingly as a "natural vibrato" I personally think it sounds horrible. Could this be what he's referring to? If not, what else could it be?
