 white master vs. V12

I've recently heard that some people play Vandoren White Master reeds on French mthpc's. I'm curious- anyone have experience? How do strengths compare to V12 or trad Vandorens? I play a Greg Smith mthpc and use a 3 1/2 or 4 V12. Thanks!

I had heard that whote masters were too narrow for french mouthpieces. I have used black masters and like them very well.

Yeah, I have to echo what katfish says. The whitemasters are very narrow. The blackmasters are wonderful, however. Both the blackmasters and v-12s are thicker than a normal reed, but the blackmasters has more wood closer to the tip of the reed. I like it, but not everyone does. The whitemasters work nicely on an Eb clarinet - the width is just right but they are a little long. I played Till with a whitemaster and got a solid sound with it.
