Hi everyone...
I'm having an issue within my section because there is a girl who is in the wind ensemble because she has fast fingers, but I think she must be tone deaf. It's impossible to blend into her sound because it is so sharp all the time!
I always thought it was her fault but she plays a festival and i noticed after casually asking how long her barrels were, and which one she was using that she has two 65mm barrels. How should I discuss this with her? I think I can help her find a solution to the problem (longer barrel), but she doesn't really know that there is a problem... and I don't want to be rude! Any ideas?

ask her to sit down and tune with you and a tuner --just to explore your mutual musicainship. Swap barrels to see if getting the green light on the Korg (tuner) becomes any easier.

I have a problem.
When trying out a clarinet it was out of tune on tones with all holes closed and tuned fine with all holes opend. Clarinet is a bit old and used.
What is wrong and can it be repaired?
