Could you please explain in detail? I am rather new to transposing and the Mozart Concerto, K622, is driving me nuts.

Play the Bb clarinet down a half step. If you are playing a C on an A clarinet you would have to play a B on Bb clarinet to compensate that half step. Unless you are playing in front of an orchestra you can play the part on a Bb clarinet with piano. They have already transposed the piano part. Either way you do not have to transpose the clarinet part unless you are playing with an orchestra and have no A clarinet. So if you were playing the part on Bb clarinet you would still start by playing G-E-F-A-G-F-E-E. I hope this hasn't confused you more.

An easier thing to do would be to just go out and buy an A clarinet!

For example a C major music sheet for A clarinet should be transposed to D flat major for B flat clarinet. Then each tone should be a whole tone up but obeying new key signature. Transposing is usually done like this. We cannot play a semitone up one by one since an octave have two semitone intervals and it changes with keys. We can avoid this problem of our brains.
You can easily ascertain C to B flat major transposition by simply writing down C major scale and then write down what happens to each tone:C-D-E-F-G-A-B-C to Dflat-Eflat-F-Gflat-Aflat-Bflat-C-Dflat. Only F and C have no flats. Then it should be flats for B-E-A-D-G,this is D flat major scale.
Take care what happens to accidentals.

Sorry. I was confused! C major sheet for A cl should be key transposed to F sharp major(6 sharps). A cl sheet music is written apparently one and half tone up from symphonic scale and B flat sheet music is written apparently one tone up from symphonic scale. Then A cl sheet music should be sifted a semitone down for B flat cl.
Maybe software like Mozart or Symphony is more easy way to transpose...

The Mozart Concerto does have at least one edition for Bb clarinet, by Simeon Bellison. Easier than writing it out!

The Bb part may be the same as the A version with the piano part transposed. If the clarinet part begins on G, that is the case. If the clarinet part begins on F# then it has been transposed to work on Bb clarinet
