Dear BBoarders,

I just noticed I was remiss in announcing yet another "Sneezy Venture" on the BBoard.

I've been busy in the background getting the requisite licenses and equipment together to legally broadcast music over the Web. It's all finally come together, and I've started assembling the shows.

Initially they'll be only one 5 hour show a week, based loosely around clarinet and clarinet repertoire (there's music other than clarinet, but you'll find a theme running through the programs). There will be two announcers to choose from initially - one in English (me) and one in Japanese (middle son Ken). I need to have a few shows "in the can" so to speak so I can start breathing again, so I expect to actually start running late this month. There's a lot of cataloging, conversion, etc. still to be done. The shows will require QuickTime 4.x, available for free from www.apple.com if you don't already have it. RealAudio servers are way too expensive at the moment. The home for the programs is http://sounds2you.com.

It's just a startup, and it may not succeed, but I'm going to give it my best shot. If any of you have old LPs around and are willing to donate or settle for a long-term loan of them to the "station", drop me a line. Prospective advertisers are welcome to contact me, too! I'll be almost giving away advertising spots for the first 6 months ...

I'll announce when the station is on-line here and a few other places.

Mark,
It was a pleasure chatting with you Sunday about this venture and I wondered afterward if you would be informing others. Glad to see your post here that it will be coming up soon. I know many of us will be looking forward to it. Please keep us informed and, Best wishes for success!

Bob,
classical/jazz/new compositions/new artists . Basically what you'd hear on a progressive classical FM station. Not rock, not rap, not country, not "million sellers", avant garde somewhat sometimes (I will be featuring an ondes martenot composition as lead-in to another composition for woodwinds by the same composer, for example).

I'm trying to have some sort of thread in every program.
