This is an accessible and charming piece.

McGinnes & Marx reprints it from an out-of-copyright Ricordi edition.

57.22 Euros ($68.93) at the Italian site, though.

I've heard it on recording and liked it, but I'm not sure I like it enough to pay that price. My impression is that the Eb part is quite high, and you need an excellent player to keep it in tune and integrated into the ensemble.

Thanks for the help. The price is a little steep for me. To bad I have it on an old LP and it sounds like fun to play. I know a very good e-flat clarinetist. He
has been playing since about the time my parents met and I am 68. Still plays very well. I hope I last as long as he does.

It,s been a while since I listened to the LP. I don't remember the e-fer part being too high. if I haven't put that LP in storage I will listen tonight and let you know if my turntable is willing.
