Nuts and bolts of physical arrangement creation
Author: Terry Stibal
Date:   2005-10-09 15:48

It has occurred to me that I have a set of written and illustrated (thanks to my lovely wife's service as a "hand model") instructions on how to prepare musical arrangements for "field use". The process shortcuts many of the classic problems with the creation of "charts" and allows you to assemble a full library easily and consistently.

From the start of the process through the final creation, the instructions will lead you through the steps necessary to create durable "fair use" copies that will fold and store well and give you a decade or more of service. Also included are recommendations for the equipment needed (minimal) as well as the best materials to use (which are available at some office supply stores).

If you are interested, please post something here (adequate) or email me directly (much better) and I'll email the package (middling sized download).

Thanks
I'm interested.
We play a lot of small ensemble stuff, and always have the challenge of getting material together to share so we can prepare before getting together.

Thanks for posting, Terry:

As a member of a small church "orchestra" with offshoots ranging from unaccompanied solo instrument to duos, trios, quartets etc. who play in various settings (at home recovery, convalescent facilities, weddings, parties and outings), the information you offer would be very welcome, I'm sure.

I'm also interested, since I'll be making a lot of parts soon.
