Hi, i can't trill A4 to B4 because the highest "right side" key has a little thing under it (I don't know the English word for it, sorry). This key used to "click" on the one under it so a tech put that...but now...when I use it, the other also open up, so my B is horrible.
Is there an other way to trill? (except using regular fingerings, it'll be too difficult!)

Well I have looked it up it seems to be that there is only one Trill fingering. It does not list and alternate fingering so I don't know what you can do about that. MAYBE the cork under the key is too big and the top key is not opening up enough to make the trill work and sound right. You should get that fixed or have the tech look at it one more time to see what happend.
Good luck!!!

That is not correct.
There IS another way to trill A4 to B4 without using the regular fingerings.
Play a normal B4 and while keeping all fingers covered, open the throat A key with the edge of the 1st finger of your left hand.
Now, with all fingers down and the throat A key open, trill with the 1st finger of the right hand.
You will hear an A4 to B4 trill
BTW - Have a tech adjust your right hand trill keys so they work independently and not hit each other when depressed...GBK

When I read the initial post, I immediately realized that GBK would be the one with an answer. The depth and breadth of your knowledge never ceases to amaze. Awesome.

Thanks a lot!
It is strage that this isn't on the woodwind fingering guide...
Almost easier than regular trill fingering when you got to play clairon notes after it!

I've contributed many fingerings to Tim Reichart's Woodwind Fingering Guide web site:
http://www.wfg.woodwind.org/
The site is far from comprehensive and there are still numerous fingerings which are in error and must be either corrected or deleted. I've already had Tim correct some of the more blatant errors which I found.
However, the site is still, even at this point, probably one of the best fingering sites on the web.
Yes... The A4 to B4 trill should probably be added.
I've got numerous other fingerings in my files which I will eventually send to Tim for addition to his site ...GBK
