Very, very good. I have a tenor sax player who has it with a jodi jazz mouthpiece and it works quite well.
I like the ligature better than his mouthpiece ($400+ fancy gold, throw your money at the problem mouthpiece).
Ligature's great.

An OK ligature, BUT, very mouthpiece dependant. If the mpc's too slim, you have to tighten the lig so much to stop the reed slipping about that you end up deadening the sound.
Comparing side by side with my old Rovner Eddie Daniels (1R-ED), the Rovnor wins by a country mile. Easy to fit, requires barely any pressure to stay firmly put, and contributes to a more subtle tone, less rasp.
Once again, head to head with a Bay lig, the Vandoren is still second best. I guess I love ligs that hold the reed with the lightest of touches.
Maybe the Vandoren is better suited to sax mouthpieces (bigger and a bit of rasp is good!).
