I recently donated a reconditioned Selmer Bundy clarinet to a local high school in the Philadelphia area. It was well appreciated due to the fact that the day before I delivered it the school bands first clarinetist had an accident and his instrument was knocked over by a fellow bandmember. He is also first clarinet for the Philadelphia All City Band. This occured two days before his rehearsal for a big concert at The Mann Music Center to be held next month. The keys were so bent that it would not play. I included a new Clark Fobes Debut mouthpiece and when I spoke to the young man he told me that every teacher he ever had told him that using #2 reeds would not allow him to hit the high notes. However to his surprise every note was achievable and had a clarity that was unmatched. Also the band director had evryone in the section tune to his instrument. What a superior student mouthpiece at a reasonable price, thanks to Mr. Fobes.

Fobes makes the best student mouthpiece out there by far in my opinion.
I use it exclusively for starting out students from day 1.

Clark makes excellent mouthpieces all around, from the debut to pro models, for all sizes of clarinet. They are well designed and well crafted. I highly recommend them.
