Alphi - it's supposed to reload! New messages should be scrolling down the page. If you're using a very old browser that doesn't support frames then use the "no frames" version.

Jeff! Since you started the vibrato topic I'll address this to you.
Don't get me wrong. I don't hate vibrato, on the contrary, I love it. It's a bit like sex, I love it but I can't do it all the time or it's getting boring. You have to save it until you really honestly feel like doing it. It's the topping on a sundae, the wipped cream on the hot chocolate, the hot chilipepper in a taco, it's the part of the speedometer that shows over 60 mph. And you should not use any of that if you don't know how much to use or you might ruin the whole thing. Do I make myself clear? All these things can be misused, like vibrato, if you haven't learned and developed an intuition how to use it.
As clarinet-players we are very lucky still that we haven't fallen into the vibrato trap yet to be accepted by our colleagues. It's almost the contrary and let us fight that. But beware of a reaction that can cause another "war" but between clarinetists. Let's just open our minds a little bit more and see what's in there. Maybe we all can contribute to make our instrument even more interesting to listeners than it already is. A lot of our repertoire is perfect just the way it is, but many pieces could maybe need some "topping". yrs' alpie
