Can anyone enlighten me regarding the Buffet "International" model clarinet.
It's a new item to me, but one of my students is looking around and we found this model mentioned on a nearby dealer's webpage. This one looks terrific with its silver-plated keys and slick carrying case. Any information someone may be able to provide will be much appreciated.

The "International" is the best intermediate clarinet out there, at least in my opinion. The last I checked, they were around $1000. One of the high schools that I work with has several of these in their possesion that they check out to students who can't afford an R13. The sound is full, resonant, and not stuffy like most E11s tend to be. I would highly recommend this instrument to anyone who isn't looking to spend the money on the R13, but at the same time be able to play something that still sounds great.
