 Angled bore

What angled bore mouthpiece does? Reading Greg-Smith HP,there are pararell and angled bore(throat) mouthpiece.
It seems there are two air streams,fast and slow air flows,which may enhance mixing of flows.

Yes Hiroshi,

The angled sidewalls give a resulting "broader" sound compared to the more traditional French parallel sidewalls.
