does humidity affect the tone of a clarinet ? does it make it flatter or sharper ?which notes are affected? i need this information for a science fair project . thanks

You'll need to look up the formula for the frequency generated by the air column, and then plug in the values to see. The formula happens to be in the BBoard postings, and if you search you'll find it. After all, it's your project, and you should be doing the research by consulting the many books on acoustics or perhaps looking up the wonderful site on clarinet acoustics in Australia (the site URL is also here in the BBoard postings, available by searching).
