For those of you in the radio area, WAMU - 88.5 FM - in Washington DC is, even as I type this (9:45 PM Saturday), playing AS music as a memorial, on "Hot Jazz Saturday Night"
I think you can also pick it all up on the website after the real time broadcast, too, but I haven't tried that. www.wamu.org.

Mercifully last night, MPR had a jazz tribute featuring some of Artie's classics ... it's always a privilege enjoying the timeless Artie Shaw. However, they suddenly shifted styles and cranked 2 or 3 Jack Teagarden tunes circa 1950, live from the San Fran Hangover Club and featuring Jay St. John on clarinet ... now your talkin', and much preferable to these hopelessly trad ears. v/r Ken
