Firstly i wanted to say thanks for evybody who suggested things for my clarinet/bari problem!
But also...
Has anybody else noticed that they get a tingly nose when they play bigger instruments? Ive never noticed it with clarinet, but tenor sax, bass clarinet, and low notes on bari sax i have. Its not a problem, i just thought it was strange and wondered whether anybody else did too?

When my nose goes "tingly" it usually means I'm gonna sneeze.
I'll bet THAT would spoil a nice solo!
It could be that you are resonating, in your nose, at some particular note/frequency. (There are loose and floppy parts up there.)
Can you isolate the particular note? Not that you can do much about it, but it might be interesting. Have a friend play the note, stand close, and see if you still tingle. If you do, try breathing hard thru your nose while your friend is playing and see if that disrupts the tingle.

You are experiencing resonance in your sinuses, as you play.
This is the "focus" for which singers train to reach, often for years.
It means that the air inside you is vibrating in sympathy to the air inside your instrument. When you can feel the clarinet producing the same sensation, you have really got something going...
