Sorry to report that Henry passed away last night. To those of us who knew him personally, he was a terrific human being, a kind and gentle man who loved the clarinet and especially enjoyed posting on this board. He will be greatly missed by his musician friends.

Henry Princen, one of the regular contributors to our bulletin board, died last evening after a long illness.

His family was around him and comforted him during his final moments.

His wit, humor, clever poetry and musical expertise in many areas will be greatly missed by all.

On a personal note, Henry and I had many conversations on a variety of topics. We had planned one day to meet face to face...

I was privileged to have known him... GBK

Henry was a witty, insightful regular here. He will be greatly missed by me and I'm sure everyone else whose lives he touched.

I'm very sad to hear this.

I also conversed with him a few times off the BBoard via email and had planned to meet him at some point. Even from the little that I knew him, I could tell he was a wonderful man. I too offer my condolences to the family should they read this.

Hi,

I, too, had many off-line email conversations with Henry. I remember him doing his first few limericks. He said "I'll never be as good as ....."

He was very humorus individual and a fine gentlemen who will be missed.

I had not seen this before posting my notice. Thank you for all the kind words. I'll pass them on to his widow Andrea.
