Thanks for this fascinating reference. There's a lot here that can be used when preparing to meet parent groups or teachers, information to be used while teaching our own students, and good news about training the brain to remember pitch. Plus, the reference to other publications provides more material for deeper research besides those previously mentioned here on the BB. (But do we really want to know WHY we feel good when hearing certain pieces? Sort of takes the magic out of it.)

Yes - Very interesting/challenging ! I'll suggest it to a good friend/ neighbor of the past, a skillful Neurological Surgeon now, for his thots . Also in this Sci Am, the article re: Patent Office Clerk caught my eye, so I read its first pg too, Re: Einstein, no less, his "productive years". Thats about all the learned thots I need this AM.
