I have an old wooden Ambassador Clarinet, roughly about 55-60 years old. I haven't played in 25 years but I know nothing about about this instrument. It needs some work and the most of the pads need to be replaced. I would like to restore the thing but I would love some history about this company and anything else anyone could pass on. Many thanks in advance. LOrraine

TKS, GBK, interesting to re-read the 2002 thread. Back then, [20-40's] many stencil cls were marketed in the US. Growing up and starting playing in Mich, our music stores were Grinell [Det] and Fischer [Chi] who sold horns under many names. One of the great accomplishments back then was the building of the Ambassador bridge connecting Detroit to Sarnia, Ontario [if my antique memory still serves me], that's my only Amb. recall. To correct a "slight" error [perhaps a hundred miles + !], the Ambassador Bridge connects Detroit and Windsor, Ont, not as long as that bridge farther north in Mich. however ! TKS, Hans, Don
