Eb alternate fingerings?

I'm playing Eb on Ovt. to Candide and need alternate fingerings to my VERY sharp c and b above the staff, and suggestions appreciated! TIA!

hmmmm, I'm not sure, maybe try lowering your tongue in your mouth and pushing the sound down with your air more? I have no idea if it will work, just a suggestion have fun! I love candide! Especially on e-flat!!!!! tree

Also try keeping your left hand fingers a little closer to the tone holes even though the holes are open. This little bit can affect the pitch markedly.

You might possibly need a different mouthpiece. My Selmer Bundy was sharp to incredibly sharp with the stock mouthpiece. I replaced it with a Vandoren 5RV and that brought it down to a manageable level.

Try closing the register vent a little. You can do this by adding cork to the underside by your thumb or by simply bending it so that iit is always closer. This should lower the B and C as well as other higher notes. Be careful not to close the opening far enough to make your throat Bb fuzzy.
