After a series of failed analogies and narratives (e.g. "New Baby/Puppy", "007") that spiraled ever downward, I decided to dispense with the formalities and keep it simple:

Today I bought a delightful new R13 A (silver plated) after trying over a dozen. It seems to play quite well, and I'm hoping for some great performances in the university orchestra (my first time!) in the fall.

As for the swabbing issues, they shortened the register tube in the shop :)

EE Baum ... very exciting ... just make sure you don't accidently leave it on the bus/tram on your way home from rehearsal ...
