I think it would be interesting to learn about other posters by having everyone post to links to their music-related websites. For example, the site for the ensemble(s) you play in, your university music dept., your school band, your recordings, or even your personal music-related site. NOTE: To make your link clickable, enclose it in the angle brackets (less-than and greater-than signs) and include the entire URL, even the http:// part. (This is a trick I learned from Mark. Hmm...I wonder how to find his site?)
I'll start--
The two ensembles I play with are the Indianapolis Municipal Band, http://www.indianapolismunicipalband.org and the Indiana Wind Symphony, http://www.inwindsymphony.org/. (I'm the webmaster of the former site and welcome any comments regarding its layout or contents.)

Here is a clarinet website that I started a long time ago, just for fun. It has a list of all the recordings I have, the pieces I've played/plan to play, pics and bios of some prominent clarinet players... I haven't updated it in ages, so it is very incomplete now. You can look though. I should work on it some since it's summer and I have nothing else to do...

Hi,
Here are two groups that I have played with this past year. Clarinet in both.
Nebraska Wind Symphony http://www.nebraskawindsymphony.com/
This band has a very controlled membership of about 70 and is by audition only. Level 5 and 6 music is performed. Musicianship is very high (about the equivalent of many college and university bands) and there are 4 very structured concerts per year. Many original compositions for band are performed. A demanding band with a very experienced director (or an experienced band with a very demanding director - both fit).
Maumee, Ohio Community Band http://www.maumeecommunityband.org/
The MCB is a community band that has a membership of between 55 and 75 depending on work schedules and vacation. The band rehearses all year long and is most active in the summer with many "in the park" type events. There are some very fine sections in the band; Level 5 is about the most difficult that the band attempts. Many marches and show tunes are performed. A fun group that could well be the second concert band on many larger university campuses.

You can download as much stuff as you want. If you noticed on the first page of the "recordings" section, I started typing in program notes from Cd booklets for all the songs. I stopped though 1) because it was taking forever and 2) I didn't know if it was some sort of copyright infringement to copy it (even though I documented the source). I might do them all some day, but I've gotten so many CDs since I last updated it, I doubt I'd every be able to catch up.

I kind of have one. It's my personal site & weblog, but there's a section where I write stuff I've learned as I go along playing the clarinet and some stuff on my performance experience. It's mostly for the other kids at my school and the parents of the kids I teach.

Your links to Indianapolis brought back old memories.
In 1964-65 I was stationed at Ft. Ben and played with the concert band known as the Bob Phillips band, which I guess is properly known as the Indianapolis Symphonic Band.
Ralph Leucht played solo clarinet. The director was of course the legendary Bob Phillips.
I learned so much from, and I still remember Ralph and Bob and Eddie Brown on the classical side; David Baker, David Young, Cal Hubbard, Jay Clark and Earl Van Riper on the jazz side; and Lowell O'Brien on the mpc side.

Many TKS, Don P, Its our "new" site, made up by Jim S [tuba/baritone] wife, Rosetta solo cl [fine teaher] and daughter [good tpt'er], a truely musical family. There are some 50+ of us, a goodly no. of pros/teachers, we play music of moderate difficulty quite well. I have been joined at bass cl by a skillful teacher, wish I could play that well, and plan on "graduating" to my alto cl, and possibly other insts as an utility player. Some say I may be the oldest, playing band member [some 20+ years of service]. A few retired players tell us of their playing here back in the 1930's. Our "other [earlier]" website is reachable at http://groups.msn.com/tulsacommunityband/homepage and has a band pic, and other info of possible interest, our lead tpt president tries to keep it updated, he teaches and while retired, still works at fire-safety. The Indianapolis Symphonic Band is still around and a web search will provide a link to its site.
The Municipal Band has a long history as well. (I've only been around since '94.) They started out as the Allison Transmission band eons ago and eventually became a general community organization.
