I would love to talk about exercises you do to alleviate repetitive stress problems in clarinet playing. I just learned a good one. According to my chiropractor, it wards off carpal-tunnel syndrome. Touch all your fingers to your thumb. Then place a rubber band around them, as far toward the ends as possible. Extend the rubber band by spreading out your fingers. It feels great.
Any others? I'm interested in shoulder exercises. I play sax and flute too.

I struggle a little with tendinitis in my forearms. The exercise that works best for me is to:
1) Hold your arm out straight.
2) Make a loose fist with your hand.
3) Then, attempt to touch the underside of your wrist with your fingertips, while keeping your arm out straight.
4) Hold for 10 seconds and then rest for a few seconds.
5) Repeat steps 1-4 twice more, and do this 3 times daily.
Using that method your fist will point downward and your fingertips will reach upward. It's impossible to actually touch the underside of your wrist with your fingertips (of the same hand, obviously), but the tendon that runs along the top of your forearm gets a good stretching!
Sorry, I have no shoulder exercises, but undoubtedly others will. Good luck!
