Does anybody know if the barrels for the Bb and A Concertos are interchangeable between the the two keys? My teacher's Peter Eatons are like that and I was wondering if the concertos are the same way.

Sometimes the barrels supplied are different lengths...hence why they're not interchangeable.
I can't say for the Concerto..but you can easily tell by putting both on a table and seeing if they're level.
R13s have changeable barrels...but the older DGs don't, so it does vary.
Experiment...who knows you may improve something.
Danny.

According to Tom Ridenour, the accoustical designer of LeBlancs Concerto and Opus models, the same length barrel may be used on both A and Bb clarinet. He designed the clarinets and barrels intentionally that way for greater ease in switching between instruments and for other accoustical and tuning considerations. For me (I play Concertos) I find that in winter, I need to use a shorter barrel. But now, as summer is approaching, I am switching to my longer barrel. But I use the same barrel on both my A and Bb. According to Tom, that's the way he designed them.
