My morning newspaper reports that, "composer-musician Acker Bilk is 75 today." So, all together now, sing....Happy Birthday to Youuuu, Happy Bithday to Youuu, Happy Birth Day Dear Ac Kerrrrr,.......Happy Birthday to You.
(or--if you prefer--play it on your favorite brand of clarinet)
Either way (and seriously), happy birthday Acker Bilk, and best wishes for a continued good life.

Aw- He's just a youngster, maybe the average age of our comm. band!, but H B, Aker, every one is a good/better one! I'm one of a [good?] group of 80 + 'ers, still playing, with possibility of demise having an inst in hand/mouth, reaching for a high note! Don
Thanx, Mark, Don

It would have to be "open casket" Don because:1. They couldn't get the lid closed, and, 2. Everybody would want to look in to see if you really played a Buffet! La Chaim.!
