Buffet Continentale?

I just bought a Buffet Continentale A clarinet from a guy on-line for $700. It seems to be in good shape. No cracks, shiney keys, but I haven't gotten to really play it yet. (my Bb is in the shop with my mpc and reeds) I did try it it with my not so good B45 and a crappy reed, and it sounded pretty good.
Was this is a good deal?

Also, does anyone know anything about it? I learned so far that it is a pre-Boosey model, when the new owner decided that he wanted more professional models outside of the R-13. That is when the S-1, the Contenintale and others were made... around the 60's and 70's. The seriel # is untraceable, but the guy said it is from around 1963-65, which Buffet's list doesn't cover. I also learned it is was aimed more towards the European market.

I had never before heard of this model, and one person I talked to said that it's probably just an E11, but the horn clearly says "Made in France."

Looks like next thing I'll need is a little tune-up and a double case. This one didn't come with a case, so it's sitting on my desk. :(
