I'm looking at buying a Buffet clarinet, but it's in a country town so I haven't been able to inspect it.
It was played by the sellers elderly father-in-law in a jazz band and is now being sold as part of his estate.
Anyway, the seller says the model number below the buffet logo has worn off, and he cannot locate a serial number. Suffice to say, it's hard to know whether I want it or not, and he only guesses that it is resin.
If someone, please, if you can help, email me jodi@equinewebaustralia.com and I'll forward you the pictures i have - it's confusing me, as the clarinets on ebay that are of similar age - have buffet logo on bell/barrel, and this does not....
I'd love if anyone could help me decide whether it's worth pursuing purchasing this clarinet.

The serial number should be at the bottom of both the upper and lower joints, i.e. the 2 part that have keys on them.
