 Logo help?

In a recent move, attic-clearing spewed out the Bp clarinet I played as a teenager in the 1940s. Its pads are gone and a key is missing, but the wood is perfect.. I found a little logo: a capital "S" inside a circle alongside number "5". This is on both upper and lower joints. Does anyone have any knowledge of this instrument?

Maybe the 5 is actually another S? The only manufacturer I can think of is W. Schreiber & Sohne, a reputable German company.

Regards,
John

John:
No, it's definitely a "5". My folks got it for me during the depression and we probably couldn't afford anything expensive, like a Schreiber or Selmer. I'm impressed, though, with how well the wood has stood up for all these years. Bob
