Now that the original case for my bass clarinet finally gave up its last sigh, I am looking around for a new one. Found lots of info in the archives here, but I also stumbled over a UK firm, "Bass Bags" http://www.bassbags.co.uk that seem to have good prices and interesting solutions. They do not give very detailed info though.
Anyone on the list who know anything about these cases?

I followed the link, and was certainly intrigued by some of the products. I just wish that there were photos and more details.

Yes its a pretty bare-bones site: no pictures, copyrights notices are all 1998. On the other hand, the selection is pretty broad and the prices are quite reasonable. Will send them an e-mail from home later today.

It's frustrating not to have photos, but the site offers "cases" and "bags," so I think a bag is non-rigid. The bass clarinet mechanism easily goes out of adjustment with even the slightest knock, so I'd hesitate to get anything but a fitted hard case.
On the other hand, the price for the bass bag is higher than for the fitted cases, so I think a query to the maker is in order.
Best regards.

Thanks for your answers. I sent them an e-mail yesterday, however no response so far. If they come up with some interesting info I can post it here.

I, too, sent them an e-mail on 10/14. Still no answer. Ah, the joys of doing business on the web.
