Wunderlich, C.A. WWI, BI fl Siebenbrunn 1854-c1945.

Established 1854, according to advertisement; according to Ernst, established by Carl August Wunderlich (b 1882; d 1959); the family had long been active locally as SI, guitar makers; 1909 advertised as 'factory for RI and strings, dealers in all MIs', 1934 advertised 'Herstellung in Heimarbeit' (home-worker production). A very large firm of MI makers/dealers, offering by catalogue WWIs, BIs, Pls, SIs; 1930s made tarogato with saxophone fingering. See also Berninger, Heubach, (1) A. Knopf.
