There was a recent discussion about some accessory that improves reeds (by making them flatter?). It wasn't anything fancy or elaborate like a PerfectaReed. It was a simple and reletively inexpensive product. There were several people who raved about it. Does anyone remember what it's called and where to get it?

I suspect you may be thinking of Tom Ridenour's ATG system costing in the region of $40.

Yes, it is probably the ATG system. The DVD that explains the whole thing is what is most important. The tools are simple and straight forward; I have never had such great reeds in such a short time. I mean GREAT reeds.
I got my on eBay for about $45 plus shipping. Tom Ridenour is selling them there right now.
