I am currently using a Vandoren B40. I like the tone but I have to work very hard as a doubler to deal with the resistance of the B40. Is a Gigliotti less resistant. Will it project enough in pits and Dance Bands. I do not want a jazz mouthpiece because i still have to control it in a legit situation. I use vandoren 3.5 on the B40. Which facing gigliotti will I have success with?

You'll probably get a raft of mpiece suggestions, but in direct answer to your question, yes, the Gigliottis are very good for projection, and I myself frequently use them for jazz/dance band with good results. No, I would not describe them as less resistant. You might want to try some different reeds (brands and strength) to solve that particular problem. If you have some time, try the Gigliotti P, P2 and P34 facings. You'll probably find one that hits the spot for jazz applications and still get a nice legit sound.
