 Schuman: Awake Thou Wintry Earth

I'm supposed to play this piece in December, but will have very little time to rehearse with the violinist who lives out of the area. I was wondering if anyone had any tips on it because looking it over I'm having a lot of difficulty in seeing how the parts come together.

If anyone could reference a recording of it that would be great because I've had no luck in finding anything online... Short of that I'm going to see if I can find someone who can scan it and make a midi so I can get a feel for it, but comments from someone who has performed it would be most appreciated.
