I have an orchestra audition coming up, and one of the requirements is that we play excerpts from Brahms Symphony No. 4. I was wondering if any of you know of an excerpt book that contains this piece?
Thank you!

Dover publishes the full scores of all four Brahms symphonies for around $15-20. This gives you the advantage of having the solos in context, which is very important in Brahms, and particularly in the 4th, where the solo line is constantly shifting between instruments.
The solos are also printed in excerpt books, such as the McGinnis compilation published by International, but these are too short, out of context and have numerous typographical errors. It's much better to go with the score.
Best regards.

I'm fairly certain (although I don't have the score in front of me) that the third movement (Scherzo) is written for C clarinet ...GBK
