Francaix Tema con Variazioni & Penderecki Three Minatures

Good evening everyone,

I was wondering if anyone had any information on the two above mentioned pieces.

I have searched but there is not much info on the BB.

Anything about the works will be great. I just want peoples opinions really even if they haven't played them.

Its always good to hear opinions from this wonderful board!

On the Francaix, and on a slightly non clarinet topic. The the piece is dedicated to Francaix's son, Olivier. The theme (the first bar of the clarinet, fits the words olivier to it. As do all of the variations. Different emotions to depict the life of his child. Try singing Olivier to the 2nd and final variations!!!
